Thanks for all the lovely comments on my daughters room reveal last week especially on my Facebook page. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much interaction with a Facebook post before. It blew me away. lol
With so much going on this time of year between the basement reno, the bedroom, and let’s not forget the bathroom, it’s always nice to have a few easy gifts ready to give during the holiday season. This Hot chocolate ornament fits that category. It was to easy to assemble that it would be awesome for a kid’s party or attached to a beautiful mug, wouldn’t it? You can it make so many different ways, by changing up the contents inside. At our house, we will be giving it to some special little and big people on our list.
- Clear Ornaments
- Hot Chocolate Mix
- Mini Marshmallows
- Chocolate Chips (milk chocolate or white chocolate or both)
- mini M & M’s
- crushed candycane
- mini (or big) candy canes
- holiday cookie sprinkles
Here is what I did:
I carefully removed the ornament top from the glass (should slide off easily). Using a funnel ( I made mine by rolling a piece of paper into a funnel), and I spooned 3 TBSP of hot chocolate mix inside the ornament. Next I added about 10 of each milk and white chocolate chips and about the same amount of mini marshmallows. I suggest chopping up the mini marshmallows so that they are teeny tiny and will easily slide out of the ornament easily. (I didn’t do it to the one above, but I will for others) 🙂
Once you have added everything you want to it, put the top back on, and loop a ribbon threw it and attach a candy cane. You can also attach the ornament to a nice mug, so all your recipient needs to do is boil the water. 😉
Aren’t they cute? And you can personalize them so many different ways!
