Halloween to me means costumes and candy. Happy things. I’m not big on decorating for Halloween, I would be perfectly fine with just buying a pumpkin and putting it on my front porch (uncarved) and then after Halloween breaking it in half and putting it in the woods for the birds and animals to feast on. But I have kids and they like a spooky house. So I try to add a little bit to the house, just to make it seem a little spooky. I’ve been a little busy with the basement this year, and my time is very limited, so I decided to create a Spooky Halloween picture one night while the kids were watching Survivor or something. I shared it on Instagram recently too!
I went to Picmonkey.com, and upload a lovely picture of my kids when they were young… about 5 years ago. Boy, they were just babies.
Weren’t they adorable?
Then I played around and made little happy zombies (?)… vampires (?)…
I’m not really sure if they are zombies or vampires, but you get the idea of what I was going for. Right?
Here is what I did…
In Picmonkey.com, I upload a picture, using the “EDIT”.
Next… I clicked on Themes (the cat at the bottom).
Now… you can just start playing around until you get the effect that you want.
I “zombulated” them, splattered blood all over them, gave them red eyes.
Here is one I did of hubby and I.
I guess I’m the vampire that turned everyone, because I’m the only one with fangs??!??! lol
And now the zombified pictures are framed on my mantel. I just printed them on my home printer. A few people have leaned in closer to take a look at the pics and then are startled. Grandma was really startled!
We tell them… “don’t look them in the eyes, or you will turn too!” lol
So now, that I’ve added on the spooky stuff in the house, bring on Halloween so I can quality check the kids loot!
Are you a Halloween-decor kind of person?
